DEATH IS THE BEGINNING OF ETERNITY

The church prays for the dead because it believes that God's love works even after a person dies, and prayer can help them get closer to spiritual perfection those who died in a state of sanctifying grace but have spots that were not paid while on earth. So they are in a place of purification (Purgatory).They need our prayers.
